If you have been told it is probably stress, and you do not think it is, you are likely right. Emsee sees menopause and nothing else. Your first appointment is a bulk billed Menopause Assessment. It is long enough to take the whole history, rather than the four minutes of it that fit into a standard consultation.

HOW CARE STARTS
Three steps, and you know the cost of all of them first.
STEP 1 · BOOKING
You choose a time.
No referral, and no waiting list measured in months. Around four days from booking to your appointment, wherever in Australia you live.
STEP 2 · THE ASSESSMENT
A doctor reviews your whole history.
If you do not yet know whether this is menopause, that is the question the appointment answers. It is bulk billed with Medicare, so there is no gap to pay.
STEP 3 · THE RECOMMENDATION
You decide what happens next.
Hormone therapy where it suits you, and the approaches that do not start with hormones where it does not. A letter goes to your usual GP, should you wish.
WHAT THE PROGRAM COVERS
One team, one record, one plan.
Most women arrive here having managed this across four or five providers who never speak to each other. The point of the program is that the repeating stops.
Your doctor, as often as your care needs.
Reviews scheduled around how your treatment is actually going rather than at a fixed interval, and no additional gap charged. If something is not working in week five, you say so in week five.
Your Clinical Care Team, between appointments.
A person on the phone or in the chat in the Emsee App who already has your plan in front of them, so a question does not have to wait for your next appointment.
Your medication, managed for you.
Coordinated and delivered to your door, so there is no pharmacy run and no month where a script has quietly run out. The medications themselves are billed separately, and most are available under the PBS.
Naturopathy and nutrition, on the same plan.
The approaches that do not start with hormones, and eating for this stage of life, both working from the same record as your doctor rather than from scratch.
Ongoing care is $99 a month, and it begins only once a doctor has recommended treatment and you have decided to go ahead.

Is this the right place for you?
Continuity is the point here, and we would rather be honest about that now than have you find out in month two.
It suits you if
You want to be believed the first time. A clinician whose whole practice is menopause, rather than one who meets it occasionally between everything else.
You need time to explain the whole thing. A first consultation long enough to describe symptoms it took you two years to connect.
You want it all treated as one picture. The memory, the sleep and the mood assessed together, rather than sent to three different people.
You cannot wait until the next appointment. A person to answer you between consultations, not a portal that records your question and goes quiet.
You want the cost clear before you commit. The price of the first consultation and of ongoing care stated up front, with nothing arriving later you did not agree to.
You want your own GP kept in the picture. A letter to them after your first consultation, so your regular care and your menopause care are not two separate stories.
It is not the right place if
You are looking for a one-off script with no follow-up. The program is built around review and adjustment, and that is most of what you are paying for.
You need urgent or emergency care. Telehealth is not the right setting for that, and your GP or the nearest emergency department is.
