About Emsee Menopause Centre · Naturopaths and nutritionists

For the approaches that do not start with hormones.

Wanting relief without starting with hormone therapy is one of the most common things women tell us, and it is a position your doctor will take seriously rather than talk you out of. Where that is your preference, or where hormone therapy is not suitable for you, your naturopath and nutritionist work from the same plan and the same record as your doctor.

Naturopathy and nutrition are part of the Emsee Care Program rather than a separate arrangement you have to organise yourself.

How it fits

Two routes, and neither is presented as the better one.

01

Referred by your doctor, not instead of them.

Your doctor recommends naturopathic or nutritional support where it may help, and it sits inside the same plan. Your record is shared, so nobody asks you to repeat a history you have already given.

02

Naturopathy, nutrition and weight management.

Named modalities rather than a general promise. Dietary and lifestyle advice, and nutritional or herbal medicines where a practitioner considers they may support a symptom.

03

By telehealth, wherever you are.

All naturopathic consultations are delivered by phone, so the same care is available whether you live twenty minutes from a clinician or four hours.

04

We will say where the evidence is thin.

Supplements are discussed where they may support a symptom, with the caveat that results vary from person to person. Nothing here is offered as a cure, and nothing replaces advice from your doctor.

Five practitioners

Who you would be seeing.

The first step

An appointment that costs nothing, and starts with someone listening.

Around four days away, by telehealth, with a doctor who does this and nothing else.

Medical disclaimer. The information on this page is general in nature and is not a diagnosis or a recommendation for your circumstances. It does not replace advice from a qualified health practitioner. Treatment decisions, including whether hormone therapy is appropriate for you, are made with a doctor who has taken your history. If you need urgent care, contact your GP or the nearest emergency department.
