Care that connects the dots

You should not have to explain the same history to everyone.

If sleep, memory and mood have changed together, telling the story in separate appointments can leave the whole picture unseen. We assess them together.

  • Your clinician’s whole practice is menopause. Each Doctor is a qualified GP who completes our mandatory Menopause Immersion Program before starting.
  • Your team works from one record. The Doctor and allied health team can see the same notes and plan.
  • The Doctor you usually see stays in the picture. We send a letter to the Doctor you usually see after your first assessment.

Not three separate stories

Your sleep.

Your memory.

Your mood.

Your first appointment is an assessment: a place to explain how it all fits together, discuss your options with a Doctor and decide on the next step.

How care works

Your first appointment is an assessment, not a commitment to a plan.

Start by talking through your symptoms and your options. You do not need a referral or a decision about ongoing care before the assessment.

Emsee Menopause Centre menopause care
  1. Step 01

    You book your menopause assessment.

Your first appointment is with a Doctor by telehealth. Bring the symptoms, questions and concerns you want to discuss. Your first appointment is around four days from booking.

The assessment is bulk billed with a valid Medicare card. It is separate from the ongoing care plans.

  2. Step 02

You discuss your options with a Doctor.

The Doctor reviews your symptoms and health history, assesses what may be happening and explains the care options that could suit you, including whether further assessment is needed.

Treatment decisions are made with a clinician. Hormone therapy is considered only where it suits you.

  3. Step 03

    You decide what happens next.

After the assessment, you can consider the information and care options discussed. If ongoing care is appropriate, the team explains the relevant package, inclusions and costs before you choose.

Ongoing care is optional. The Full Program is $99 per month, with no lock-in contract.

You can read the care-plan inclusions and prices before deciding whether to continue after your assessment. See the care plans and prices

What happens at my first appointment?

Your first appointment is a menopause assessment with a Doctor. You can explain your symptoms and concerns, review your health history and discuss the care options that may suit you. The assessment may identify a need for further assessment or another type of care. It is not a promise of a diagnosis, prescription or treatment.

Is the menopause assessment bulk billed?

Do I have to choose an ongoing care plan?

The plans, what each one includes and what it costs are set out in the What it costs section on this page, and on our pricing page. You can read them before you decide whether to continue after your assessment.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes. There are no lock-in contracts, and plans can be changed or cancelled at any time.

Your first consultation with an allied health practitioner is complimentary, and later ones are charged privately according to the practitioner’s fee schedule.

Will the Doctor I usually see be kept informed?

We send a letter to the Doctor you usually see after your first assessment, so your regular care and your menopause care are connected.

Is telehealth suitable for everyone?

No. Some health situations need in-person assessment. Your clinician decides whether telehealth and this service are appropriate and explains the next step.

Your first step is an assessment to discuss your options.

A Doctor trained in menopause listens to what has changed, assesses your symptoms and talks through your options with you. You can decide on ongoing care afterwards.
