A clinic that sees menopause, and nothing else.
Most women arrive here after an appointment that went nowhere. We were set up to be the one that does not, which in practice means time, one team rather than five, and a record that follows you.
There is nothing to pay for the assessment, and it commits you to nothing.
Why we exist
Menopause is a stage you move through, not a condition you present with.
Emsee was founded because menopause was being handled in ten-minute appointments by clinicians who meet it occasionally. Eighteen months of symptoms compressed into four minutes, and a suggestion that it might be stress.
The alternative we built is not complicated. Give the appointment enough time to take the whole history. Put the people who treat the different parts of it on the same plan and the same record. Say what things cost before anyone is in the room. Then review it often enough that something which is not working gets changed in week five rather than month six.
Nothing about that asks you to become someone else. You should be able to move through this stage and still be recognisably yourself at the end of it.

We will tell you when you do not need us.
We are not the right place for urgent or emergency care, and telehealth is not the right setting for it. We do not treat conditions outside menopause and the things that travel with it, and where something belongs with another clinician we will say so and tell you where to go. Our telehealth service is also not suitable for women undergoing active cancer treatment, or for anyone whose care needs to be delivered in person. If a doctor here thinks you do not need an appointment this month, that is what you will be told.
How you can check us. Every doctor’s AHPRA registration number is published on the doctors page. Our records are held in MediRecords, we are LegitScript certified, and the Menopause Assessment is bulk billed with Medicare.
